I feel like I need to apologize when I’m slack about posting and commenting on my favorite blogs. It seems like there are phases where the inspiration and words flow freely, and other days where I get around to it if I can. Lately, it has been the latter.
Here is a glimpse of what I’ve been doing the last 2 weeks in addition to the normal afternoons spent in the pool and keeping up with the kids’ activities. I want the kiddos to fondly remember summertime when they look back someday.
exploring nature with the family. What is it about stinky, dead sea creatures that they find so enthralling?
enjoying summer time desserts like creamy lemonade pie and star shaped watermelon slices with red, white & blue sprinkles
supervising a little gardening, although I had nothing to do with the gardening attire
making silly breakfasts
recital pictures & all the pre-recital necessities that drain my wallet
and a little ear-piercing for my girly-girl
Hope you’re having a fun-filled eventful summer too. Don’t forget to enjoy the little things. ![]()
I’m linking up here today.

So glad to see you are all enjoying your summer! Hope it continues to be wonderful.

ReplyDeleteHi! I stumbled upon your blog via Tatertots and Jello and just wanted to say WAR EAGLE! I'm an Auburn alum, and I love stumbling upon other Tiger fans in blog land.
ReplyDeleteOh- and I feel your pain on the recital accessories. It can just about kill you! :)

ReplyDeletehow exciting for little girl to get her ears pierced!

Hey blog bff!
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to apologize for slacking on posts and comments.
LIFE happens to all of us! It's a busy one.
Looks like you guys have had some fun though.
Love your daughter's adorable dance recital costume.
And her earrings are oh so cute.
Did you use a cookie cutter for the watermelon? I love it. I made red, white and blue chocolate covered strawberries for the 4th. I think I need to give the star shaped watermelon a try next year too!
